Amerantes was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team that placed second at the A-10 Outdoor Championship. She finished sixth in the 400 meters (55.84s) as well. She won the 400 meters with a time of 55.51 seconds in Rhody's team win at the Holy Cross Invitational.
Most recently, Amerantes was runner-up in the 400 meters at the New England Championship with a time of 56.13 seconds. She was also a member of the winning 4x400 meter relay team.
The Mansfield, Mass. native was honored as a RIAIAW Distinguished Student-Athlete in April for her performance on the track as well as in the classroom throughout her career at URI.
Amerantes is a double major in Mathematics and Spanish and minor in Communication Studies while maintaining a 3.81 GPA.
Black won the 1500 meters and 800 meters at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship. She was named Track Performer of the Year after her 800 meter first-place time was a new school, meet, and personal record.
The Ambler, Pa. native raked in three A-10 Track Performer of the Week accolades during the outdoor season, and she broke four school records in the four meets she competed in for Rhody.
Last weekend she was crowned champion in the 800 meters (2:07.50) at the New England Championship.
A double major in Nutrition and Dietetics and Kinesiology, Black has maintained a 3.93 GPA.
