Rhode Island Falls at Columbia

How It Happened
Rhode Island (1-2) was blanked at Columbia, 7-0, Friday evening.

Freshman Erin Chratian put up a strong match at No. 1 singles. Despite losing in straight sets, Chratian fought Akanksha Bhan to a 6-4, 6-4 score. Chratian also teamed with junior Mihaela Codreanu at No. 1 doubles. They were tied 4-4 when the match was stopped because Columbia had clinched the doubles point.

All six singles matches were decided in straight sets.
