How It Happened
Rhode Island dropped a 4-0 decision at Charlotte on Saturday at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.
The Rams #2 doubles team of Mihaela Codreanu and Tiara Higuchi swept through their match, 6-0. The #1 singles team of Paige Alshon and Emily Zargham and #3 tandem of Ariel Haber and Nicole Legler dropped their matches, 6-2 and 6-4, respectively
In singles play, Codreanu won the first set, 6-4 and led 5-1 in the second set before the match was halted once the team title was decided. Emily Zargham dropped her first set, 6-4, but battled to a 5-5 tie in the second set before her match halted as well.
