  • Attended Woodgrove High School, where she earned four varsity letters on the swim team.
  • Competed for the FISH swim team from 2012-18. 
  • Recognized as Woodgrove’s most valuable swimmer three times (2015, 2016 and 2018).
  • Won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events at the 2015 VA 4A State Championship. 
  • Was a VA 4A All-State Athlete from 2015-18.
  • Earned Potomac Valley Scholar Athlete recognition from 2005-18.
  • Named to the All Loudoun Girls Swim Team in 2015 and 2016. 
  • Received the Gauss Award for Mathematics in 2014. 
  • Was a member of the National Honor Society, German National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.

Personal

  • Daughter of Marcy and Darren.
  • Has two sisters, Eva Yankes and Grete Lenz. 
  • Eva (35) attended Old Dominion University and Grete (32) attended the University of Portland, where she ran cross country. 
  • Her mother, Marcy, ran cross country and track at Clarion University (1974-78). 
  • Enjoys reading, hiking, Netflix, critiquing movies and swimming.
  • Favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. 
  • Majoring in psychology with an interest in forensics.
