Rams Back In Action at Racer Classic This Weekend

KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island gets back into action after 11 days off when it travels to Murray, Kentucky for the Racer Classic, hosted by Murray State.

The Rams (1-8) will play four games this weekend, taking on Ill.-Chicago twice, Murray State once and Oakland once.

Series History
vs. Ill.-Chicago – 1-4
The teams have played sporadically dating back to 1993. Rhode Island got its lone win in the series in 2000, a 2-0 victory at the Buzz Classic Games. The last time the Rams faced Ill.-Chicago was in 2015, a 4-0 loss at the USF Under Armour Invitational.

This will be the first meeting ever between Rhode Island and Murray State.

Rhode Island and Murray State have met one time before, a 10-0 victory for Murray State at the USF Under Armour Invitational in 2015.
