Doubleheader at Providence Moved to Tuesday Afternoon

KINGSTON, R.I. - After nine days off, Rhode Island's softball team will resume action Tuesday afternoon when it travels to play in-state rival Providence.

Rhody and the Friars initially were schedule to play Wednesday afternoon. However, because the weather is expected to be too cold to play in that day, the teams agreed to move the doubleheader to Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 2:30 p.m.

The Rams have not played since March 11. The team was slated to play two games each against Delaware and Cornell as part of the Blue Hen Inviational, but those games were canceled due to snow.

The games Tuesday will be Rhode Island's final non-conference games before the start of Atlantic 10 play this weekend.
