How it Happened
Rhode Island fell in a 2-1 overtime loss Sunday afternoon at Massachusetts.

Neither of the teams were able to get things rolling offensively in the first half of play, as both Rhode Island and Massachusetts registered a single shot on goal a piece.

The Minutewomen struck first when Rebecca Frisk found the back of the net off a cross from Melissa Kossler in the 56th minute.

Rebecca D'Anna was able to keep the Rams alive however, with a goal that came in the last minute of regulation. The sophomore recorded her second goal of the season thanks to a pass from Jaileen Goncalves. Rhody was sent into its sixth overtime of the season.

Just three minutes into extra time Sini Laaksonen had UMass' golden goal come off a penalty kick and the Rams fell to 0-4-1 in conference play.
