Rhode Island will head into the Atlantic 10 Championship on a high note after each of its boats was victorious against Holy Cross and MIT Saturday morning.

Racing on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass., the Rams swept four races. The Varsity 8+ boat of Danielle Wolf, Katie Shattuck, Kiana Anderson, Erin Sweeney, Dana Holland, Meghan Ellis, Courtney Harrington, Kelsey Maymon and cox Karen Petrik beat MIT by nearly four seconds, winning the race in a time of 6:33.76. MIT posted a time of 6:37.73, while Holy Cross finished in 6:51.53.

Rhode Island's season-long dominance with the Second Varsity 8+ continued. The team of Mekenzie Mattheson, Allie Reilly, Erika Pena, Emily Ali, Maddie Van Ummersen, Emily Winslow, Brooke McMahon, Kelsey Williams and cox Lucy Moyes won its race in a time of 6:45.80, more than 15 seconds ahead of MIT. Rhody is now 18-1 on the year in 2V8 races.

The Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+ races were both heads up between Rhode Island and MIT, with the Rams winning both. In the V4, Delaney Haggerty, Sage Iacovazzi, Brooke Vergona, Jane Driscoll and cox Casey Conley finished in 7:34.68, beating MIT by 32 seconds. In the 2V4 race, the team of Chandler Fisher, Stephanie Erlacher, Ida Heggtveit, Miranda Peyton and cox Brenna Kelly won by more than 50 seconds over MIT.

Next weekend, Rhode Island will look to defend its conference title at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Camden, N.J.
