Reiss Completes Staff, Welcomes Zoll-Norman as Assistant Coach
KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhody women's basketball head coach Tammi Reiss has completed her staff with the addition of Sharnee Zoll-Norman as an assistant coach.

Zoll-Norman spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach with one of the top AAU programs, the Philadelphia Belles. There she helped the team in scouting reports, practice planning, player development, and team recruiting.

"I can't tell you how happy I am to have Sharnee join our Ram coaching staff," Reiss said. "Sharnee has performed at the highest level her entire career. She will be an incredible role model and mentor to our student-athletes. She is exactly who I want teaching our point guards how to play the game. I think we got lucky she decided to retire from playing professionally when she did. It was perfect timing."

Zoll-Norman comes to Rhode Island with 11 years of international playing experience, and three years in the WNBA. Most recently, she was playing in Poland with the team InvestInTheWest AZS Gorzow.

While with InvestInTheWest, Zoll-Norman was apart of the team that finished in the top 16 in the EuroCup and second in the Polish League. She was named the 2018 EuroCup Guard of the Year, and is a five-time Eurobasket All-Polish First Team recipient. In 2017, Zoll-Norman helped lead the team to its first Polish League Championship in 30 years. She was named the regular season and post season MVP for her efforts.

During the off season, Zoll-Norman has worked as a U.S. Junior National Event Site Director, putting on girl's basketball events throughout the country for over 10 years. She is responsible for event preparations, as well as overseeing the floor operations and games.

A 29th overall draft pick in the 2008 WNBA Draft, Zoll-Norman had stints with the Los Angeles Sparks and the Chicago Sky.

Zoll-Norman graduated from Virginia in 2008 where she was a 1000-point scorer and started every game of her career. She is the only woman in ACC history to dish out at least 200 assists in three straight seasons. She broke the ACC and Virginia assist record with 785 assists, previously held by Virginia great Dawn Staley. Zoll-Norman also won a gold medal as a member of the Team USA U19 in 2005.
