How it Happened:
Rhode Island (0-5) led by one at the break - 26-25 - but allowed Lehigh to shoot 58.3% from the floor over the final 20 minutes of play, getting outscored 40-31 in the second half.
The Rams held the Mountain Hawks well under their scoring average on the season (82.2 ppg), allowing just 65 points on the afternoon;
Inside the Box Score:
* Tayra Melendez once again led the Rams with her 20 points. She was 7-of-17 from the floor and 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. She also grabbed five rebounds while playing all 40 minutes for the Rams.
* Rhode Island dominated the backboard, outrebounding Lehigh, 42-29. Two Rams reached double digits in the rebounding column: Kerry Wallack grabbed a game-high 12 boards, while Sydney Lewis added 10.
* Both players narrowly missed double-doubles, as Wallack had seven points and Lewis eight. Each player tallied two steals.
* Kiara Palmer tied her season-high with seven points coming off the bench. For the game, Rhody's reserves outscored Lehigh's bench, 12-9.

Both teams connected on 13 free throws for the afternoon. However, the percentages were strikingly different. Lehigh attempted 25 free throws on the afternoon, compared to 17 for URI. The Mountain Hawks FT% was just 52.0%, compared to 76.5% for the Rams.
