Delasanta Earns A-10 Track Performer of the Week, Reichenbach Named Rookie

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island redshirt sophomore Anthony Delasanta earned this week's Atlantic 10 Track Performer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. Freshman Jack Reichenbach was named Rookie of the Week.

Delasanta won his season opening 400 meter race at Northeastern's "Howlin' Husky" Invitational this past weekend. His time of 49.76 seconds currently leads the conference. He also placed in the 200 meter and is currently ranked third in the A-10 for the 200 meter dash at 22.51 seconds.

Reichenbach won two events in his collegiate debut at Northeastern. He opened the day by winning the long jump with a best of 6.93 meters (22' 9") then followed that up by winning the high jump with a best of 2.03 meters (6' 8"). His high jump mark currently leads the conference.

The Rams return to competition on Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Beantown Challenge at the Gordon Indoor Track in Boston, Mass. Events are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
