BOSTON, MASS. - Rhode Island sophomore Drew Nealey is in eighth place with a total of 2721 points in the heptathlon after day one of the IC4A Championship. Competition resumes tomorrow with day two of the heptathlon, as well as the start of track and field events.
Highlights from the Hept
- Nealey finished 14th in the 60 meter dash, clocking in at 7.49 seconds.
- He finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 20' 10.50".
- Nealey placed sixth in the shot put, after throwing 38' 11.75".
- In the high jump, Nealey tied for second with a mark of 6' 4".
