Entries Being Accepted for 2018 URI Indoor Track Classic

URI Indoor Track Classic Meet Information

KINGSTON, R.I. – Entries are now being accepted for the 2018 URI Indoor Track Classic, which will be held Saturday, Jan. 6 in Mackal Fieldhouse.

Hosted by the University of Rhode Island men's and women's track & field programs and South Kingstown High School, the annual meet brings more than 1,000 athletes from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island to the Mackal Field House. Entries for the meet - which begins at 10 a.m. - are now open at www.plattsys.com and will remain open until Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

The meet is open to all eligible boys and girls from Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts and whose schools are members of the NFHS. It is not open to "open", "club" or "individual," nor are Non-NFHS schools eligible. Individual entry limitations are per each state's rules (self-policing). Coaches must accompany their teams and athletes at all times.

For the relay events, entries are limited to two entries per school in the 4x200m and 4x400m. Schools are limited to one entry in the 4x800m. Entry fees are provided in the Meet Information link.

The URI Indoor Track Classic is an annual fundraiser for the men's and women's track and cross country programs. It helps pay for team gear, coaching education and travel to select events, such as the U.S. junior/senior nationals.
