Boston - The Rhode Island men's track & field team took to the track today at Boston Universities Track & Tennis Center in the final weekend of the indoor season competing in the IC4A Championships. Saturday was qualifying day for Rhody with the Rams having three athletes qualify for the finals in their respective events.
Rhode Island Qualifiers
- Marlon Montague ran a personal best of 47.97s in the 400m to qualify for tomorrows final.
- Senior Zach Campo ran another personal best for himself in the 800m running the distance in 1:51.41 to also move onto the finals.
- Alexander McGrainer also running a personal best in the 1000m (2:26.85) qualifies him for the finals. This time also gives him the third best time in program history in the 1000m run.
- On Sunday the Rams will also compete in the Trails and Finals of the Triple Jump (Nigel Riley), Pole Vault (Ryan Wilkes), Shot Put (Samuel Snyder) and the 4x400m relay.
Sunday's events begin at 9:30 a.m. from the Track & Tennis Center at Boston University.
