DiMambro, Moran Sit One-Two After Day 1 of URI Heptathlon

KINGSTON, R.I. - After Day 1 of the URI Heptathlon, Rhode Island's Michael DiMambro and Jacob Moran sit one-two respectively going into the final day of events tomorrow. DiMambro sits in first with 2,920 points followed by Moran who has 2,829 after the first four events. 

DiMambro finished in first place in the 60 meter dash collecting 889 points. He finished fourth in the High Jump and sixth in the Shot Put.

Moran finished first in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.78m, collecting 762 points. He finished sixth in the 60 meter dash and seventh in the High Jump.

Competition wraps up tomorrow morning with the final three events. Competition begins at 10 a.m. from Mackal Fieldhouse with the 60mHH, followed by the Pole Vault and 100m.
