BOSTON - The 4x400m and 4x800m relay teams were both victorious as the Rhode Island Men's Indoor Track & Field team claimed sixth place at the IC4A Championship in Boston, Mass.
Rhode Island Highlights
- The 4x400m relay team of Jaleel Felton, Jared Gray, Jalen Young, and Marlon Montague won the event with two of the fastest times in school history. Their finals time of 3:10.84 is the second-fastest time in Rhode Island history, while the prelim time of 3:12.58 is fourth.
- The 4x800m relay team of John DiGangi, Alexander McGrainer, Kevin Lochard, and Zach Campo won the event with the second- and third-fastest times in school history. Their finals time of 7:30.90 and prelim time of 7:32.17 rank #2 and #3, respectively. The school record in the event, 7:29.14, was set in 1982.
- Mike DiMambro won the Heptathlon with 5272 points, which is the third-highest total in Rhody history, beating out teammate Ondrej Honka's A-10 score by one point. In the heptathlon, DiMambro won the 60m dash, (6.98s), and the long jump, (6.97m).
- Jack Kahrs followed up last week's 7'1" clearance with a third-place finish in the high jump. Kahrs cleared 2.07m, (6'9.5"), which ties for eighth all-time at Rhode Island.
