BOSTON, MA- The University of Rhode Island men's track & field team competed at the Northeastern-Carisella Invitational on Saturday afternoon in Boston.
Sam Killen started off the meet with a second place finish in the 55m dash in a time of 6.56. David Kennedy followed in the 200m dash with a fifth place finish. Kennedy would compete h in the 500m dash, clocking a time of 1:03.63 which currently stands as the fastest time in the country. Freshman Stephen McKenna debuted with a third place finish in the 1000m run, clocking a time of 2:34.46.
Jacob Keeling won the shot put with a toss of 17.25m while Thaddeus Kusiak finished runner up in the weight throw with a mark of 16.89m. Ronald Woodley placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.25m.
Rhode Island is back in action on Saturday, December 11th as they host the Blue-White Alumni Meet at Mackal Fieldhouse.
