BOSTON, MA. - The University of Rhode Island men's track and field team took part in the Terrier Classic on the campus of Boston University inside the Track and Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
In the 400m dash, senior David Kennedy finished seventh among 92 competitors in an IC4A qualifying time of 48.47. Sophomore Anthony Davidson took 14th in the 400m in a time of 49.24. Kennedy also finished fourth in the 200m dash with an IC4A qualifying mark of 21.78.
The 4x400m relay team comprised of Richards, Davidson, Sanborn and Mark Castilletti ran to a third place finish in an IC4A qualifying mark of 3:16.87.
In the field events, senior Jacob Keeling finished third in the shot put with an IC4A qualifying mark of 16.83m.
Jamie Kida continues to look strong as he won the pole vault event with an IC4A qualifying mark of 4.70m.
Meanwhile, URI also had a strong showing at the Harvard Multi-Meet as sophomore Trent Baltzell claimed both the high jump and shot put events. Baltzell registered a mark of 12.30m in the shot put while recording an IC4A qualifying mark of 2.07m in the high jump.
Teammate Andrew Reigstad finished second in the 60m dash with a time of 7.19 and fourth in the high jump with a mark of 1.89m. Reigstad was also third in the long jump with a mark of 6.83 as freshman Wayne Seaton was fourth with a mark of 6.62m. Seaton also finished runner-up in the shot put with a mark of 12.01m.

Rhode Island will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 11th to take part in the Armory Winter Games. The meet begins at 6 p.m. in New York City.
