Yudehwheh Gbaa Named A-10 Men's Indoor Track & Field Co-Most Outstanding Performer

Kingston, R.I.On Monday, February 19, Rhode Island junior Yudehwheh Gbaa (Providence, R.I.) was named Atlantic 10 Men's Indoor Track & Field Co-Most Outstanding Performer after placing first in the triple jump (50-2.75) and third in both the long jump (22-11) and 55m hurdles (7.64).

Before attending Rhode Island, Gbaa was a Division III National Champion in the Triple Jump with a mark of 49 feet, 6 1/2 inches at Lincoln University under Coach Jones. He also competed in track & field at Hope High School in Providence and was National Champion in the Triple Jump in 2003. Gbaa also was a stand-out soccer player at Hope High.

Gbaa helped lead the Rhode Island men's track & field team to its fifth A-10 title in the last seven years.
