Oustanding Freshman Class to Debut at B/W

KINGSTON, R.I. - This years' freshman class includes the likes of Dan Godin, Coventry, RI, the National Champion in the 12# hammer (218'6")and the 25# weight (69'4.75"). LaeJon Brooks, West Orange, NJ, a 52.7 intermediate hurdler has a 13.97 over the 110HH. Also in the hurdles will be Bremen deHaan, Galloway, NJ, has run 14.2, 55.9. Ashhad Agyapong, Trenton, NJ boasts a 48.2, 1:56 and 22.0. He will be joined by Darnell Douglas, Delmar, NY, at 21.9, 48.8 and 10.6. Blake Fornarotto, Wall, NJ, has run 55.3 hurdles and 1:58. Aaron Hazard, East Providence, RI, adds depth and talent to the sprints. Completely untested at 50.3, 22.8, Pete Moroni, Basking Ridge, NJ, will keep others honest.

Shaun Horgan, Wood River Jct, RI, established himself as our fourth man in cross country despite the fact that he is really a trackman at 2:35, 1:58 in high school. Shaun redshirted his freshman season, but he will make a huge impact on the track team in 2004. Dennis Sheppard, East Bridgewater, MA, also ran well in cross country and his 4:28, 1:58 will be an welcome addition on the track.

In the jumps, Denis Street, Slate Hill, NY, will provide a 23'1.5" long jump and a yet to be tested triple jump. Chris Adams has run 14.9 and is currently training as a decathlete.
