Rams Compete at Boston University Fast Track Inviational

Boston, Mass. - The University of Rhode Island men's track team traveled to Boston this weekend for the Boston University Fast Track Invitational.

Colin Aina won the 55-meter high hurdles in a time of 7.26 to improve his NCAA ranking. Ashhad Agyapong came in second in the 500-meters, finishing in 1:03.88.

Andre Reid won the shot put with a throw of 58'1" setting the new URI record. His throw was only 5cm from qualifying for the NCAA meet.

Eric Groce placed 6th in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.50, setting a personal record, and also ran the 200-mater dash in 21.78.

Daniel Godin finished 6th in the 35-pound weight, setting a personal record, with a throw of 55'9.25," good enough for a personal record.

The 4x400 relay team finished in second place with a time of 3:15.

The Rams return to action Saturday, February 21, at the Atlantic 10 Championship, which will be held in Kingston.
