Sophomore, Eric Groce was named the Atlantic-10 men's track and field performer of the week after placing first and second in two events on Saturday.
Groce placed first in the 200m dash with a time of 21.95 seconds as well as placing second in the 55m dash with a time of 6.47 seconds. This is his second Atlantic-10 Performer of the Week citation with his first coming after his performance in the URI Invitational.
Groce has also qualified for the IC4A with his times and holds the fastest time in the 200m (21.77) in the conference.
Freshman Ashhad Agyapong won the 400m with a time of 49.09 seconds and finished second in the 200m dash (22.22). Both times are IC4A qualifying times for Agyapong as the Rams continue their successful season.
Rhode Island (230) placed first in the nine-team URI Mega Meet over runner-up Bucknell by 92 points.
The Rams return to action on Saturday, February 14, 2004 at the Fast Track Invitational in Boston.
