The Rhode Island Men's Track and Field team is set for an exciting beginning to the weekend as they compete in the 97th Annual Verizon Millrose Games at Madison Square Garden, New York on Friday, February 6, at 6.30. This event features Olympian stars such as Marion Jones, Stacy Dragila and Allen Johnson.
The Rams are expected to face tough competition from Princeton, Penn State, Rutgers, Duke, South Carolina, Providence, and Florida as they make a return to America's premier indoor track and field invitational. It is the nation's oldest invitational track meet and the Garden's longest running sporting event, which is to be televised nationally on NBC.
The Rams then travel back to Kingston on Saturday, Feb. 7., when they host the Mega Meet on Parents Day, their second meet in two days. Having had several individual and top finishes in their last meet at the Columbia-Princeton Invitational, the Rhode Island Men's track and field is looking to continue their successful season.
The Rhode Island Rams return to action on February 14, 2004 at the Fast Track Invitational, in Boston Mass.
