Princeton, N.J. - The Rhode Island Rams Men's track and field team moved on to their next competition, ICAAAAs, after winning the New England title as a team this past weekend.
Sophomore Sean Bramley (New Paltz, N.Y.) competed in the discus on Friday throwing for a 19th place spot with his throw of 146-08.
On Saturday, senior co-captain Brett Matthews (Scarborough, Maine) tied for ninth place in the pole vault reaching 15-07, while freshman Rob Scales (Middletown, N.J.) threw 174-10 in the javelin and junior Jesse Andoscia (North Kingston, R.I.) placed 11th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54.22.
Junior co-captain Colin Aina (East Providence, R.I.) placed 11th in the long jump reaching 22-08, but grabbed a first place finish in the 110m hurdles with his time of 14.19, qualifying him for the third day of finals competition.
The third day of ICAAAA competition will consist of the shot put, triple jump and high jump as well as both hurdles and track finals.
