Providence, R.I. - The Rhode Island Rams men's track and field team finished sixth out of nine teams this weekend at the Brown Invitational on Saturday.
Freshman Eric Groce (Rutland, Vt.) ran for second in the 100m and 200m dashes with his times of 11.11 in the 100 and 22.19 in the 200.
Fellow freshman Corey Draffen (New Bedford, Mass.) placed third in the 200m dash with his time of 22.44.
Rhode Island's 4x100 relay team (A) finished first with their time of 42.03 and the 4x400 relay team also grabbed a gold with their time of 3:18.30.
Rhode Island will compete again next weekend at Bucknell with Kent State and R.Morris on Saturday the 19th at 10:00 a.m.
