Seven Men's Track & Field Athletes Compete At The Sea Ray Relays

Knoxville, Tenn. - Seven Rhode Island Men's Track and Field athletes traveled to the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tennessee to compete on the Tom Black Track along with 1, 524 other athletes this weekend on April 11th and 12th.

Senior tri-captain Brett Matthews (Scarborough, Maine) placed 17th in the pole vault with his reach of 14-07 1/2.

Junior tri-captain and Providence native Colin Aina (East Providence, R.I.) placed 17th in the 110m Hurdles with his time of 14.28 while fellow junior Jesse Andoscia (North Kingstown, R.I.) placed 22nd in the 400m Hurdles coming in at 54.00.

Sophomore Jamie Finnegan (Kittery, Maine) and freshman Rob Scales (Red Bank, N.J.) placed 6th and 7th with their throws of 194-04 and 193-0 1/2 in the javelin.

New comer Andre Reid (South Windsor, Conn.) placed 6th in the discus with his throw of 155.06 and 8th in the shot put, 54-04, while sophomore Sean Brimley (New Platz, N.Y.) fouled for the meet in the discus.
