Men's Track And Field Finish Sixth At Colonial Relays

Williamsburg, Va. - The Rhode Island Rams men's track and field team has scored 62 points at the William & Mary Colonial Relays this weekend coming home with a sixth place finish.

High scorers for the Rams out of the 13 scored events were sophomore Jamie Finneran (Kittery, Maine) in the javelin placing second with his throw of 212-02 an improvement on yesterdays throw of 212-00.

Newcomer Andre Reid (South Windsor, Conn.) threw for third place reaching 52-02 1/2 in the shot put, while junior Colin Aina (East Providence, R.I.) grabbed a second place spot in the 110m hurdles (14.143) and freshman Eric Groce (Rutland, Vt.) ran for third in the 100m dash (11.15).

Rhode Island's 4x100 relay team (A) finished third with a time of 42.031.

Rhode Island will compete again next weekend at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville Tennessee at 10:00 a.m.
