Men's Track And Field Hold Fifth After First Day At Colonial Relays

Williamsburg, Va. - The Rhode Island Rams men's track and field team has scored 39 points in their first day of competition at the William & Mary Colonial Relays meet on Friday, April 4th, 2003.

So far high scorers for the Rams out of the 13 scored events are sophomore Jamie Finneran (Kittery, Maine) in the javelin placing second with his throw of 212-0.

Newcomer Andre Reid (South Windsor, Conn.) threw for third place reaching 52-02 1/2 in the shot put, while junior Colin Aina (East Providence, R.I.) grabbed a second place spot in the 110m hurdles (14.1430) and freshman Eric Groce (Rutland, Vt.) ran for third in the 100m dash (11.15).

Rhode Island will continue the meet tomorrow April 5th, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.
