Men's Track Notches A 23rd Place Finish At IC4A Championship

KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Rhode Island men's indoor track team notched a 23rd-place finish at the 2001 IC4A Championship, held at the Reggie Lewis Track Center in Boston, Mass. this weekend.

Junior James Rooney placed fourth in the shot put with a distance of 53'1.00" while fellow junior Anthony Lordo also notched a fourth-place finish in the high jump with a height of 6'9". Freshman Colin Aina placed 14th in the 60-meter high hurdles with a time of 8.29. Senior Brian Norton competed in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:29.84 while sophomore Joel Fedorowicz (1:52.86) and junior Colin Lowney (1:53.39) each had solid performances in the 800 meters.
