Men's And Women's Track & Field Places 10 on Atlantic 10 All-Conference Teams

KINGSTON, R.I. - Head women's track and field coach Laurie Feit-Melnick heads a list of 10 Rams honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference following last weekend's A-10 Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships in Kingston. Feit-Melnick was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year after leading the women's team to their first-ever conference championship by holding off favorite Virginia Tech.

Other Rams named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference team for the women's team include: Janelle Erskine - pole vault, Michelle Trefz - 55m hurdles, Kelly Martin - 1000m run, and Amy Taylor, Natalie Popowicz, Courtney West, Michelle Trefz - 1600m relay.

On the men's side, senior Dustin Kuzma of North Kingstown, R.I. set a conference record (1:02.72) to win the 500m dash, while Brett Matthews claimed the conference title in the pole vault. The Rams finished third in the men's championship behind four-time champion Virginia Tech and Massachusetts.

The Rams are back in action this weekend at the ECAC Championships in Gorham, Maine.
