Chris Pennock enters his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Rams in 2011-12.

A native of Spennymoor, England, Pennock was a four-year starter and two-time team captain for the Rams from 2006-09. He was named to the 2009 Atlantic 10 All-Championship team as a senior and finished his career with an overall record of 34-27-12, including a 9-3-5 mark in 2006 when URI advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament.

Following his senior season, Pennock was selected to play in the NEISL All-Star game and was listed among ESPN Soccernet's top 20 goalkeeper prospects leading up to the 2010 MLS Superdraft.

He currently ranks second all-time in games played at Rhode Island (73) and is third overall with 20 career shutouts. In 6644:00 minutes of action, he totaled 261 saves and a 1.19 goals against average.
