Was a three-year starter and team captain at Punahou High School (alma mater of President Barack Obama) for coach David Trifonovitch... Guided his team to the ILH (Interscholastic League of Hawaii) Championship his senior year... Received Punahou's Defensive Player of the Year Award as a junior and senior... Was an All-State First Team selection as well as an ILH First Team honoree... Also was a Hawaii State Tournament All-Star... Was a member of the Hawaii Olympic Development Program and was a two-time Region IV selection... Played club soccer for the Honolulu Bulls, under the direction of coach Phil Neddo... Helped lead his teams to five USYSA state titles, three HYSA state championships and two MISO U19 league titles as well as the 2008 Pateadores Cup finals... Also was a member of the varsity bowling team at Punahou.
