KINGSTON, R.I. -- The University of Rhode Island announced several changes - including an additional game - to the 2011-12 men's basketball schedule.

Date Change for Maine Game: The regular season opening game versus Maine has been moved from Friday, Nov. 11 game to Sunday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. Season ticket holders may redeem their game tickets and parking passes with the Nov. 11 date for the new December date.

Rhody Adds George Mason to 2011-12 Schedule: Rhody also added an additional game to the 2011-12 slate, beginning a three-year series with George Mason. The Rams and the Patriots will play on Friday, Nov. 11 in Fairfax, Va. Game time is still TBA.

GMU - under new head coach Paul Hewitt - is coming off a 27-7 campaign a season ago. The Patriots advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, beating Villanova in the first round before falling to #1 seed Ohio State.

Ryan Pearson, a 6-6 senior forward, is the team's top returning scorer (14.2 ppg) and rebounder (6.7 rpg). Andre Cornelius, a 5-10 senior point guard, averaged 9.5 points per game last year.

A member of the Colonial Athletic Association, George Mason will be the fourth CAA team on this year's non-conference schedule, joining Hofstra (Nov. 25), Georgia State (Dec. 10), and James Madison (Dec. 29). It will mark the first time that Rhode Island and George Mason have met on the hardwood.

Time Changes for TicketCity Legends Classic Games: The Gazelle Group and URI have announced time changes for the Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26 games in the Kingston subregional round of the TicketCity Legends Classic.

On Friday, Nov. 25, Cleveland State and Boston University will now face off at 2:30 p.m., with the Rhode Island/Hofstra game set for 5 p.m.

The following day (Nov. 26), Cleveland State and Hofstra will play in the 2:30 p.m. slot, followed by URI and BU at 5 p.m.

The Sunday, Nov. 27 games - Boston University vs. Hofstra and Rhody vs. Cleveland State - will be played as originally scheduled, at noon and 2:30 p.m., respectively.

Rhody/Nebraska Game Live on Big Ten Network: The Nov. 20 game at Nebraska will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network. It will be Rhody's first appearance on the BTN. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
