KINGSTON, R.I. - The 2019-20 Rhode Island men's basketball schedule has been completed, as the Rams will host Manhattan in a non-conference game on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

With the game against the Jaspers, Rhode Island will have six non-conference home games, four non-league road games and a pair of neutral site contests as part of the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic in November.

Paired with the 18-game Atlantic 10 conference schedule, Rhode Island has 30 regular-season games on tap for the season. Of those 30 games, 11 will be against teams that qualified for either the NCAA Championship or the NIT in 2018-19. Included on the schedule are non-league games against LSU, Maryland, Alabama and Providence, all of which qualified for national postseason tournaments a year ago. Twenty-game winners North Texas and Brown also loom for the Rams.

"We have a schedule that provides us the chance to put together a strong resume for an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship come March," Rhode Island head coach David Cox said. "Between an extremely difficult non-conference schedule and the Atlantic 10 portion of our season, we can position ourselves very nicely by taking care of business throughout the season."

In A-10 play, Rhode Island picks up seven more games against national postseason teams from last season. The Rams face VCU, Davidson and Dayton twice each, and defending-champion Saint Louis once. The Billikens and VCU made the NCAA field last season, while Dayton and Davidson were in the NIT.

The Manhattan game is a stand-alone game that is not part of the Jamaica Classic. Due to scheduling conflicts, efforts by tournament officials to secure a second home game for Rhode Island as part of the event were unsuccessful.

The Rams open the season on Nov. 5 when they host LIU Brooklyn at the Ryan Center.
