Brian is a turf management specialist for URI. He works for the turfgrass management program within the department of Plant Sciences as a research and extension agent, and also for the department of Athletics as a field management consultant. Brian received his masters degree in turfgrass management at URI in 2006, after receiving an associates degree in Golf Course Management from Horry-Georgetown College in Myrtle Beach, SC (2003), and a bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY (2000). Brian has a passion for maintaining high quality turf. He's actively involved in both Golf and Sports Turf associations and helps research new turf management methods that improve turf quality, reduce maintenance costs and are friendly to the environment. Brian is an avid golfer, originally from Rochester, NY, and graduated from Fairport High School (class of '96).
