Jessee Announces 2019 Incoming Class

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island women's soccer head coach Megan Jessee has announced the incoming class of 2024. 13 student-athletes have made the decision to continue their academic and athletic futures at the University of Rhode Island.

"I am truly excited for this class to join the Ram family," said Jessee. "My staff and I have worked hard to bring a strong class to Rhode Island that will help us take this program to another level. This class brings talent to the roster that will give us depth in every position. We are excited for the passion and competitiveness that every player is bringing to this program. These players are tough young ladies that possess the mental and physical toughness that you need to win championships in this conference."


LILY CASO | FORWARD | 5-10 | ELLINGTON, CONN. / SUFFIELD ACADEMY

Before URI: Member of the Oakwood Soccer Club for three years and the Northeast United for two years ... Attended Ellington High School for two years before attending Prep School at Suffield Academy ... Member of the soccer team for four years and earned a total of four varsity letters ... Captained the soccer team her senior year at Suffield Academy ... Was the leader in assists from her freshman year to senior year while starting varsity ... The top scorer from her sophomore year until her senior year at Suffield Academy ... Named Rookie of the Year her freshman year at Ellington ... Earned First Team All-Conference and All-State her sophomore year ... Named "Top Gun" Player - which is given to the top leader in both assists and scoring - her sophomore year ... Jessee on Lily: Lily will be competing for minutes at the center forward position. She is a strong athletic forward that is great at holding the ball up and finishing from anywhere around or in the box. She is a hardworking young athlete who is passionate about training and improving everyday. I am excited for the depth she will add to our attack.


BROOKE CAVINO | FORWARD | 5-4 | BRIDGEWATER, MASS. / BRIDGEWATER-RAYNHAM REGIONAL

Before URI: Member of the South Shore Select Soccer Club for seven years and the Scorpions for three years ... Attended Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School for four years ... Jessee on Brooke: I am excited to have Brooke join our Ram family. She is an attacking player that will bring a level of creativity to our offense. She can create by her ability to take on defenders 1-v-1 and her movement off the ball. She is a proven goal scorer who can finish from anywhere around the box and her ability to win crosses. I love the competitive and passionate approach Brooke brings to training and games.


ZOE CHAZAN | DEFENDER | 5-6 | EASTON, MASS. / OLIVER AMES 

Before URI: Member of the NEFC/Boston Breakers for four years ... Attended Oliver Ames High School ... Member of the soccer team for two years as a starting defender ... Earned two varsity letters during her time with soccer ... Named Hockomock League All-Star and Eastern Mass All-Star in 2015 and 2016 ... Named Region 1 Player in 2015 and 2016 ... EVELIN DAPPRICH | MIDFIELDER/DEFENDER | 5-7 | LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. / LAWRENCE

Jessee on Evelin: Evelin is a good left footed player that will work for minutes in the left back and left forward position. She is athletic and skillful with a lot of potential to grow as a player. She is a hard worker with a passion for the game that will help add depth to our roster. I am excited to see how Evelin develops as a player once she is training in the next level environment every day.


EMMA DERRY | MIDFIELDER/DEFENDER | 5-5 | LEOMINSTER, MASS. / LEOMINSTER

Jessee on Emma: Emma is a strong athletic defender that will add depth right away to our back line. She can play in any position in the back line. She has experience defending some of the best strikers in the country from playing at a high club level. That experience will help us take this program to the next level.

Jessee on Carrie: I am excited for Carrie to be joining the Ram family. She is a talented player technically and tactically that will add depth to our midfield. KELLY FITZGERALD | DEFENDER | 5-5 | WARREN, N.J. / WATCHUNG HILLS REGIONAL

Jessee on Kelly: Kelly is a great left footed player that will bring depth to our back line. She is competitive and has great leadership qualities that will help transform our back line into a solid defense that will be hard for any opponents to break down. She has played at a high level in club soccer and has gone against some of the best forwards in the country. She is ready for the next level and will compete from day one for play time at the left back position.


KARLEE LUKER | DEFENDER | 5-4 | OAK RIDGE, N.J. / JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP

Before URI: Member of the NJCSA for two years and NYCFC for one year ... Played outside back and midfield ... Captained SCA in 2017 and 2018 ... Started in all 41 games with her club teams ... She is a competitor with a great passion for winning and getting better every day. She will help take this program to another level.


ALLISON MOGAURO | DEFENDER | 5-8 | WOBURN, MASS. / WOBURN MEMORIAL

Jessee on Allison: Allison is a strong center back and great 1-v-1 defender. She is also proven to be very good winning high balls in the air. She is a tough young individual who is not afraid of a challenge or to go against a good striker and shut them down. She will compete for playing time right away and will add much needed depth to our back line.


TERESA MORRISSEY | GOALKEEPER | 5-10 | MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA / MCKINNON SECONDARY COLLEGE

Jessee on Teresa: Teresa is a great addition to our Ram family. She brings with her a lot of experience at the international level that will help her transition and compete for play time in goal right away. She has great potential to develop into one of the top goalkeepers in the conference. She is very strong dealing with shots in the air and at her feet. She has a great presence that will help lead our defense. I love Teresa’s mentality and competitive approach to training and games.


NATALIA O'LEARY | MIDFIELDER/FORWARD | 5-6 | MARION, MASS. / TABOR ACADEMY

Before URI: Attended Tabor Academy and was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years as a midfielder and forward ... Member of the Bayside FC Bolds for two years and the Vipers FFC for four years ... Had 26 career goals and 14 assists at Tabor Academy ... Earned ISL Honorable Mention in 2019 ... Was the NEPSAC Champions her senior year ... Member of the Bayside FC Rhode Island state Champions in 2-17 ... Was also a member of the basketball and lacrosse teams ... Jessee on Natalia: Natalia is an athletic player that will work for minutes in an attacking role. She brings a versatile skill set as a player that allows us to use her in many different positions on the field. She will add to our depth in every position. I love Tali’s competitiveness and physicality when she plays. These traits will help take this program to another level.


JULIA ROEMER | FORWARD | 5-8 | LATHAM, N.Y. / SHAKER

Before URI: Attended Shaker High School and was a member of the soccer team as a striker for three years ... Member of the Latham Circle Club for four years before joining the Capital United Premier Soccer Club in 2012 ... Was the leading scorer in 2017 ...
