Pride in URI Night set for August 20 at McCoy Stadium

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Join over 200 fellow URI Alumni and Friends for an evening of Minor League Baseball, friends of the University of Rhode Island, and an all-you-can eat barbeque.

Pride in URI Night is a great event for the entire family. The URI Alumni Association and Department of Athletics take over right-center field, with Rhody the Ram, Paws and Sox (the PawSox mascots), and a fantastic URI raffle. Each attendee will receive a special URI give-away!

URI's new president, Dr. David M. Dooley, as well as head coaches of Rhode Island's athletics programs will be honored in a pre-game ceremony on the field.

The barbeque area opens at 5 p.m. and first pitch between the PawSox and Rochester is set for 7:05 p.m. Tickets to the game and barbeque are $24.00 for adults and $12.00 for children 12 and under.

The menu consists of ball-park fare, all-you-can-eat grilled chicken breasts, 1/4 lb. hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, potato chips, lemonade, and an ice cream bar. A vegetarian option is available upon request prior to the game.

The barbeque area will close promptly at the start of the game, so be sure to get there early! Please allow for ample travel time to McCoy Stadium, parking is limited in the stadium lot and the roads around McCoy can get very congested.

Dues paying members of the URI Alumni Association receive a 10% discount on their tickets. Membership will be verified at time of order.
