URIPartner.com Earns 2011-12 NACMA Best Of Award

KINGSTON, R.I. -- For the second straight year, the University of Rhode Island athletics marketing office was recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).  Winners were recognized during NACMA's 21st Annual Convention at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, June 26 in Dallas, Texas.

URIPartner.com was presented with the bronze award for the Top Sales Piece.  The online home for the business development and corporate marketing arm for Rhody Athletics and the Thomas M. Ryan Center, URIPartner.com is a cutting edge new media effort which has helped URI see record levels of corporate sponsorship and external revenue.

"This is a great honor and validates our efforts to bring our corporate partners program with URI Athletics at the Ryan Center to the forefront of the department," said Daryl Jasper, executive director of business development.  "URIPartner.com showcases our diverse assets and values through a virtual marketing brochure which gives local, regional and national businesses significant reasons to align their marketing efforts with our property and university."

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Best of Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 13 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. An association record of more than 950 awards entries were received for the 2011-12 year.
