Men's Basketball - Student Ticket Policy - New for 2009-10!

URI students with a Valid URI Student ID can come to the Main Ticketing Box Office (Located off Plains Road and West Alumni Avenue) during the specified pick up times to claim their one (1) free ticket (Free student tickets are capped at 1500 and are distributed on a first-come first-served basis). Each ticket will be sold into each individual URI student account. Students will be allowed to pick up tickets once for each game. Student ID's will be verified and checked against the URI student database for verification.

Tickets are available during the specified pickup times. Students must come to the Main Ticketing Box Office located off Plains Road and West Alumni Avenue to pick up tickets during pick up times. The Box office is open Monday - Friday 10AM - 6PM as well as Saturday from 10AM - 2PM. At the end of the designated pick up times, any unclaimed student tickets will be opened up for sale to the public. URI students will still be eligible for free tickets after the end of the pickup time, provided the student allotment and game is not sold out when they come to claim their tickets.

Only URI students with valid ID may use student tickets to attend a game.
URI Student ID's will be checked and validated at the time of pickup. Students must have a valid working ID in order to receive a free ticket.
Students must bring their valid student ID to the game and may be required to provide a valid ID with their game ticket to gain entrance into each game.
Student tickets are to be used by registered URI Students Only.

The majority of student tickets for men's basketball games are general admission by section. The URI student sections are located in sections 101-102, 108-109, 201, 209, 301 and 309. Tickets in sections 101-102, 108-109 and 201 and 209 are general admission by section. Students are allowed to sit in any seat in the Section that they have a ticket for. Sections 301 and 309 are reserved seating and students with those tickets must sit in the assigned seat.

Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with the best seats being distributed first. Tickets will be distributed until the end of the assigned pickup time, or until the supply of tickets is exhausted.

On game day students may enter the Ryan Center via the main/general entrances on either side of the Ryan Center. Doors open 1 hour prior to game time. You may at any time be asked to present your valid URI ID along with your student ticket. To avoid long entrance lines please plan to arrive early.

To ensure your seat to the game it is strongly encouraged that students pick up their game day tickets during the specified ticket distribution period. This will give students the best opportunity for the best seats as well as avoiding potentially long lines on the day of the game.

Please Note: Should you choose to wait until the night of the game to pick up tickets to that evenings game please be prepared for the potential of long lines at the student windows.

Starting 90 minutes prior to tip off on a game night you will only be allowed to pick up a ticket for that evenings game and not another game so please plan accordingly.

Thank you and Go Rhody!

Away Game Ticket Information

Away Games

URI Men's Basketball away tickets are generally available through the URI Athletic ticket office. All away ticket requests are filled based on athletic donor society level and then by priority point ranking.

In order for any request to be processed, it must be submitted by the posted deadline for the game. Orders cannot be cancelled once they are submitted to the Athletic ticket office, and the credit card provided will be charged unless a request cannot be fulfilled.

If a request cannot be filled, you will be contacted by an Athletic ticket office representative. It is important to remember that a request does not guarantee tickets.

Because demand for tickets may vary, your athletic donor society level and priority point ranking may enable you to purchase tickets to some away games, and not others. Unsold tickets are returned to the host schools seven days before the game.

More information on how to order your Men's Basketball game tickets will be available soon!
