Rams Fourth At Quinnipiac Invitational

HAMDEN, Conn. -- The University of Rhode Island women's cross country team finished fourth overall at the Quinnipiac Invitational this afternoon.
The Rams compiled 115 points - tying with Hartford - for fourth in the team standings. Host Quinnipiac finished first, narrowly missing a sweep with 16 points.
Mary Najarian was the team's top finisher, placing 18th overall. She covered the five-kilometer course in 19:51.1. A pack of Rhody runners rounded out the scorers in the race.
Brittany Pelsue finished 25th overall, clocking 20:31.1, followed by teammate Kathryn Allard in 26th place (20:33.9). Michelle Lauer (27th, 20:36.2) and Dominique Lee (28th, 20:38.4).
Kolleen McCauley (33rd, 21:01.7) and Meredith Hannon (43rd, 22:07.1) rounded out the top seven for Rhode Island.
