NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - Freshman Mary Najarian (North Kingstown, R.I.) led all Rhode Island runners with a 23rd-place finish (18:51) as URI women's cross country team finished seventh overall at the Central Connecticut Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 15. Classmate Brittany Pelsue (Syracuse, N.Y.) was Rhody's second finisher, crossing the line in 19:09 (29th).

 

Sophomore Kathryn Allard (Miller Place, N.Y.) and junior Domonique Lee (Westerly, R.I.) finished 46th and 48th, respectively, with times of 19:52 and 20:00. Sophomore Erica Planamento (Harrison, N.Y.) was the team's fifth scoring runner, finishing 53rd overall in 20:22.


 

 

 

The Rams are back in action on Friday, Sept. 21, when they travel to Hamden, Conn. to compete in the Quinnipiac Invitational.
