KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's volleyball team will conclude its 2009 season on Sunday as it takes on Fordham at Keaney Gymnasium. The match is set to begin at 3 p.m.

Prior to its final match, the Rams will honor senior Caitlyn Welsh as she plays in her final collegiate match. Welsh has been a mainstay in the Rhody starting lineup in each of her four seasons in Kingston.

She has led the team in kills in each of the past two seasons and received Atlantic 10 Honorable Mention recognition in 2008 as she helped the Rams to 14 wins during her junior campaign.

In 2009, Welsh has posted 10 double-doubles and recorded her 1,000th career kill on Oct. 10 against Dayton.

Sunday's match marks the second time this season Rhody as faced Fordham. In the two team's first meeting, Rhody fell 3-0 in Bronx, N.Y. Junior Lauren McIntosh led the way offensively as she totaled six kills while posting a .231 hitting percentage. Sophomore setter Candice Kolkka also chipped in with 17 assists.
