Prior to URI: Four-year varsity player... Played three seasons at Libertyville High School after she played on the varsity team as a freshman at Winter Springs High School... As a senior she helped guide her team to a 35-3 record, a North Suburban Conference (NSC) Championship and a Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Regional Championship... Totaled 518 kills during the 2009 and 2010 seasons which ranks second in school history... Two-Time NSC All-Conference First Team selection (2009 and 2010)... Selected to the Chicago Sun Times All Area First Team... Named to the Chicago Tribune All State Third Team as a senior... Off the court she was a two-time NSC All-Academic honoree... Named to the honor roll in each of her four years in high school.

Personal: Born January 27, 1993... Daughter of Diane and Tom Steffen... Has one brother (Vincent) and two sisters (Diane and Kelly)... Her cousin Jennifer Steffen Zweig swam at Harvard from 1994-98 and served as the team captain during her senior year... Lists beach volleyball player Kerri Walsh as he favorite athlete...
