Daugherty, Fraser Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

KINGSTON, R.I. -- Shayna Daugherty has been named to the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District First Team, it was announced today.

Daugherty, a native of Lincoln, R.I., has compiled a 3.75 grade-point average as a communicative disorders major.

She was named the Field Performer of the Year at the 2009 A-10 Outdoor Track & Field championship on May 3. Daugherty captured the high jump (5-8.75) and heptathlon (5118 points). She was also a member of the 4x400m relay team which placed third.

During the indoor season, she finished third in the high jump at the 2009 A-10 Indoor championship meet and was honored as part of the A-10's Academic All-Conference team.

By virtue of being named to the All-District First Team, Daugherty is now eligible for and will appear on the national Academic All-America ballot.
