BOSTON, Mass. - Freshman Sarah Thornton (Saugerties, N.Y.)of the women's track & field team, took 10th place in the weight throw at the Valentine Invitational on Feb. 11 in Boston, Mass. Thornton threw a season best mark of 48-09 beating her previous throw of 47-5 recorded at the URI Invitational on Feb. 5.

Senior Christina Bizon (Warwick, R.I.) also took 16th place (46-10.75) in the weight followed by Kristen Hinz (Dover, N.H.) who posted a 17th place finish with a throw of 46-09.

In the pole vault, junior Caitlyn Densing (Blue Point, N.Y.) placed 18th with a height of 9-06.25.

The Rams will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 19 as they host the 2005 Atlantic 10 Championship beginning at 2:30 p.m.
