2004-2005:
Took first place in the 300 meter dash at the Brown Invitational on December 4, 2004 with a time of 41.23 seconds and placed second in the 4x400 (3:57.40) with teammates Oakes, Strysko, and Price ... Finished first in the 400m at the URI New Year Classic (Jan. 7) with a time of 58.13s, in that same meet she also finished third in the 200m in 25.78s, was part of the 4x400 that finished first (3:54.31) ... Took first place in the 500m dash at the Brown New England Challenge Cup (Jan. 16) with a time of 1:17.92, at that same meet she was part of the 4x200m team that win with a time of 1:42.19 ... At the GoRhody Classic (Jan. 21) finished first in the 400m with a time of 58.73, third in the 200m with a time of 25.68 and was part of the 4x400m that posted a season best time of 3:53.42 ... Was named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week (Jan. 24) ... Posted a season best in the 200m at the Terrier Classic in Boston, Mass. (Jan. 29) with a time of 25.25 placing her fourth on the URI All-Time Individual list as well as the eighth All-Time performance in URI history, also placed fourth in the 4x400m running a season best 3:50.06 and made the No. 4 spot on the URI All-Time performance list ... Led the team with a total of 20.5 points, placing first in the 400m posting a personal best time of 58.01, and placing secnd in the 200m with a time of 25.48, also was part of the 4x400m relay which took first in a time of 3:51.83 at the URI Invitational (Feb. 5) ... Part of the 4x400m relay that finished first and broke an A10 record with a time of 3:50.25, also finished third in the 200m with a time of 25.30 at the A10 Indoor Track Championships (Feb. 19) ... Set a new school record in the 400m by taking first place with a time of 56.21 qualifying her for ECAC's, was part of the 4x400m relay that set a New England Championship record and URI record finishing first with a time of 3:44.83 qualifying for ECAC's, also took fifth in the 200m with an ECAC qualifying time of 25.08 which is second best all time for URI at the New England Championships (Feb. 26) ... Was named GoRhody.com Athlete of The Week (Feb. 28-March 4) ... Finished 13th in the 400m prelims with a time of 56.91 to place her third on the URI all-time list, also was part of the 4x400m relay that took seventh place with a time of 3:47.33 (third best URI mark all-time) at the ECAC Championships (March 6) ... Finished forth in the 400m dash with a time of 56.89 and was part of the 4x100m relay which finished 11th in a time of 49.39 and the 4x400m relay that placed ninth with a time of 3:57.85 at the South Florida Invit. (April 2) ... Set a new school record in the 400m taking first place with a time of 56.21 and also ran a personal best in the 200m for second-place in a time of 25.22, also was part of the 4x100m relay that took first in a time of 47.66 and was part of the 4x400m relay that placed second with a time of 3:51.46 at the UConn Invitational (April 9) ... Took first place in the 400m with a time of 56.28 and grabbed second place in the 200m in a time of 25.05, also placed second in the 4x100m relay in a time of 47.56 and finished third in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:52.16 at the Brown Invitational (April 16) ... Set a new school record finishing first in the 400m with a time of 55.84 at the UCONN Invitational (April 24) ... Placed forth in the 100m with a time of 12.85 and placed third in the 200m in a time of 25.73, also was part of the 4x100m that placed first in a time of 47.85 at the Brown Invitational (May 1) ... Was part of the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay which both placed first in times of 47.45 and 3:49.55 at the Atlantic 10 Championships (May 8) ... Placed first in the 400m with a time of 56.40 and placed second in the 200m with a time of 25.63 at the New England Championships (May 14) ...

High School:
Captained the track and field and cross country teams in 2002 under coach Melissa Lipa...An 8 time all-class and division selection from 1999-2002...A four time all-state selection ... Also a two year academic all-state selection ... A consistent honor roll student ... Graduated with high honors ... Recipient of the Bausch and Lomb Science Award.

Personal:
Born Destiny Shantell Woodbury 9/23/84 ... Lives with her grandmother Ella Mae Woodbury ... A secondary education and chemistry major at URI with plans of becoming a chemistry teacher or a chemist ... Hobbies include writing poetry and dancing ... Most memorable experience was attending NCAA Leadership Conference 2004 in Disney World, NCAA Regionals, Penn Relays and visiting Arkansas.
