2008 Outdoor: Competed in the hammer, javelin, discus and shot put events... Placed seventh in the hammer throw with a mark of 170 feet, 5 inches at the USA Junior Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Columbus, Ohio... Posted a fourth-place finish in the hammer throw with a performance of 166-6 at the Atlantic 10 championships... She also finished in the top 10 in the javelin at the league championships as placed seventh following a season-best throw of 112 feet... Borque's fourth place finish in the hammer was the top mark among conference freshmen... Placed second in the hammer throw at the Brown Springtime Invitational with a mark of 157-9 (April 27). 2007-08 Indoor: Borque opened her collegiate career at the Brown Invitational (Dec. 1) where she had her registered her best throw of the year in the shot put with a toss of 36 feet, 1 1/2 inches... In the 20-pound weight throw, Borque held the longest mark of any URI freshman with a performance of 48-10.5... Her season-best mark came at the URI Invitational (Feb. 2). High School: Competed in track and field and football ... captain of track and field team in 2006 and 2007 ... captain of the JV football team in 2005 ... received the Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year award in 2006-07 ... set high school record in indoor/outdoor shot put, weight, hammer, and javelin.
