Conley Qualifies for NCAA East Preliminary Round

The NCAA Division I Women's Track and Field Committee has announced the participants for the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship preliminary competitions.

Senior Janel Conley qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary round after being crowned champion in the long jump at the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championship with a school record mark of 20' 1". The lone Ram will travel to Lexington, Ky., May 25 thru the 27 for the preliminary event, hosted by the University of Kentucky.

The two NCAA preliminary meets, divided between the east and the west, provide an opportunity for the top-12 finishers in each event at each site to qualify for the national championship meet. The combined 24 declared competitors in each event from the two sites will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Ore., June 7-10.
