Worcester, Mass. - Rhode Island seniors Janel Conley and Hannah Madison and junior Kylie McPherson competed in day one of the Holy Cross Heptathlon.

Highlights From the Track
- Conley sits first overall after day one with 3255 points. She ran the 100m hurdles in 13.81 seconds (the eighth-best mark in URI history), jumped the high jump in 5 feet, 5 inches, threw the shot put 37 feet, 6 inches and ran the 200m in 25.61 seconds.
- McPherson is currently sixth with 2693 points. She finished third in the 100m hurdles (15.26s), tied for eighth in the high jump (4' 11"), eighth in the shot put (29' 9.5") and third in the 200m (26.02s).
- Madison finished right behind McPherson in seventh with 2668 points. She finished fifth in the 100m hurdles (15.45s), tied for fifth in the high jump (5' 1.25"), ninth in the shot put (29' 5.5") and sixth in the 200m (26.75s).
Conley, Madison and McPherson finish the Holy Cross Heptathlon tomorrow, Apr. 20. The events are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
