KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island women's tennis head coach Tim Murphy announced that sisters Erin and Sydney Chratian have both signed a national letter of intent and will be part of the 2018-19 roster.

The Johns Creek, Ga. natives are impact players for Murphy's program. According to www.tennisrecruiting.net, Erin Chratian is a five-star recruit who is ranked No. 73 nationally and No. 6 in Georgia in this year's class. Sydney Chratian is a three-star recruit who is No. 211 nationally and No. 16 in the state of Georgia.

"Erin and Sydney are two athletically gifted tennis players who will add to our growing tennis program," said Murphy, who is in his third season at Rhode Island. "Erin is a five-star, top 75 player nationally, and Sydney is a three-star top 200 player nationally. They are both among the nation's best and we are extremely happy they chose the University of Rhode Island."
